Marvel has announced its first-ever Muslim- superhero, Ms Marvel that will be releasing on 12 November. Kamala Khan is the real name of Ms Marvel who will be the first Pakistani-American superhero to headline her own solo Marvel project, helmed by Bisha K Ali.
Kevin Feige, the producer of Marvel has shared in a tweet, saying, “You will meet her in her Disney+ series and then you will see her in our films, It is incredibly exciting for us”.
Pakistani Actress Mehwish Hayat lauds Hollywood’s move to be inclusive of another ethnicity.
By taking it to social media, Mehwish Hayat wrote, “Great news! Glad to see that the tide is turning, Hollywood seems to be accepting the problem. Long way to go, but it is a start. Hope others will also take heed about representation”.

The story of Ms. Marvel will revolve around a Pakistani-American girl from New Jersey, who has the power and ability to stretch and change shapes.
The project is reported to be in its initial production phase, no releasing date or cast has been given yet. Ms. Marvel is joining the diverse list of Marvel, including the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki and Hawkeye.
