Meghan Markle is diving right back into work after finishing her maternity leave. First order of business? Helping to get other women back to work.
4 months after giving delivery to her and Prince Harry‘s son Archie Harrison, the Duchess of Sussex headed over to the John Lewis division retailer on London’s Oxford Road to launch the Good Set capsule assortment, a workwear line created in collaboration with Good Works, of which she is a Patron. The charity gives unemployed girls with free garments and job interview coaching.
The brand new assortment features a blazer and trousers from Jigsaw, a tote bag from John Lewis & Companions, a Marks & Spencer costume, and a white shirt from womenswear designer Misha Nonoo. For each merchandise offered on-line or in shops, one will probably be donated to Good Works.
“A giant piece of that is attempting to rework the concept of charity to group,” Meghan, who wore a pair items of the gathering, stated in a speech on the group’s headquarters on Thursday. “And the best way that we try this I feel as individuals, is we go into our closet as a lady as you say, I am gonna make a donation. You do not undergo your closet and simply toss in a field no matter you do not care about anymore. That is charity, as we all know it at the moment.”
At the event, the duchess wore a $125 white Misha Nonoo Smart Set shirt, $148 black Paris slim tapered Trousers by Jigsaw, a $105 Ralph Lauren Nappa leather skinny belt, $600 tan Manolo Blahnik pointed toe pump sand butterfly Earrings from Harry’s late mother Princess Diana’s collection.
