It was reported that two Hindu minor girls were forcefully converted to Islam, and then married off to Muslim men in Ghotki district of Sindh.
The girls’ father and brother, in videos circulating on social media, say that the two sisters were abducted and forced into changing their religion from Hinduism to Islam before getting married.
This news immediately took social media by storm and people just can’t stop talking about it.
Prime Minister then directed Sindh and Punjab governments to look into the matter and take concrete steps to prevent such incidents in future.
However, the incident instigated a debate around the world where Indians are criticizing Pakistani authorities and hold them responsible for the situation.
Similarly, the Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj took to her Twitter handle and posted a tweet, tagging the Pakistani Information Minister.
Mr.Minister @fawadchaudhry – I only asked for a report from Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad about the kidnapping and forced conversion of two minor Hindu girls to Islam. This was enough to make you jittery. This only shows your guilty conscience. @IndiainPakistan

Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane saw this tweet and was quick to respond to Sushma Swaraj:
While I attach this video I do realise that Two wrongs DON’T make a right. Let’s not make this about protecting Hindu girls or Muslim families, let’s make this about protecting human lives across the subcontinent, across the world.
It’s not about ministers, it’s about the public! pic.twitter.com/JQiCF3Eaov— MAWRA HOCANE (@MawraHocane) March 24, 2019
In another tweet Mawra requested everyone to stop hating each other:
It’s hard to go to sleep while SO MUCH is wrong with the World today. Especially when the People in power instead of finding a solution are giving fuel to the fire . I wonder what will be left for them when they do succeed in their self destructive agendas.
STOP inculcating hate.— MAWRA HOCANE (@MawraHocane) March 24, 2019
