Mathira Mohammad, known as Mathira is a Pakistani Zimbabwean dancer, model and television hostess. She has hosted several television shows and she was also a part of music videos and movies. She is mainly known for her bold item songs and bold interviews.
She was born into a Muslim family in Harare, Zimbabwe to a South African father and Pakistani mother. Her sister Rose Mohammad, is also an actress. Mathira was educated in Zimbabwe before moving to Pakistan with her family. Mathira got famous through her debut show ‘Baji Online’.
Later, she got married to a Punjabi singer Farran J Mirza who’s also known as ‘Flint J’, in 2012. They had a son Aahil Rizvi, who was born in September 2014. But things didn’t work out so they got divorced in January 2018. Mathira is an open book and she shares her struggles and experiences with her audience openly. She has always talked about how a women has to suffer in life and what she has been through in order to be at a position that she is at today.
Mathira revealed that her real name is ‘Tahmina’. She added that her mother’s side named her Tahmina and her father’s side named her Mathira. She also said that these two names actually represent two very different personalities. Mathira shared that as Tahmeena her personality is total opposite for what Mathira is. That is reserved for her loved ones while Mathira is who she is while working and dealing with people. For friends she is somewhat a mixture of both.
