We all do it or have done it at some point in our lives – We compare ourselves to others.
If this was simply an observation, that would have been one thing. But in comparing ourselves to others, we often end up judging ourselves.
As people are busy criticizing Maria Memon’s husband for not being good looking and all. Here is a reply a came across on facebook which speaks up about the sick conservative thinking we have
“I don’t really talk about anyone’s personal life but this time I have to make an exception. People are actually trolling this man because according to them, he isn’t good looking. In other words, he isn’t no ‘chai wala’. The irony is dreadful. Matric pass low lifes are trolling a CSS topper. But an illiterate tea seller automatically became a nation wide celebrity because of his looks. Sometimes I wonder, our choice of judgement being based on looks rather than academics and qualification is precisely the reason why we as a nation have an IQ lower than a shoe size.”
We all came in different, we all came in with certain intentions that came through life experience. In fact, the only masterful creation we have to work with is ourselves.
So, why defame it?
