A new report says multiple A-List Hollywood actresses have joined the upcoming movie project about the downfall of former Fox News chief Roger Ailes.
The Hollywood Reporter says Margot Robbie will join Charlize Theronand Nicole Kidman as they star in Annapurna Pictures’ upcoming film about the toxic workplace culture at Fox News. Ailes presided over Fox until 2016, when he was forced out of the network after multiple female employees accused him and other prominent Fox figures of sexual misconduct.
While the name of her role isn’t clear yet, Robbie will play an associate producer at Fox. Theron will portray Megyn Kelly and Kidman will play Gretchen Carlson.
The film will be directed by Jay Roach, known for his comedy works like the Austin Powers movies, along with more serious projects like Trumbo, Game Change, and Recount. The script will be written by Charles Randolph, who rose to prominence with his Oscar-winning screenplay for The Big Short.
