We all know that the ban on Indian films is now lifted, still Aamir Khan has decided not to release his film ‘Dangal’ in Pakistan. This decisions is because Pakistan censor board has claimed to cut two scenes which involve the Indian flag and anthem.
Mobashir Hasan, Pakistan’s Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) head, said, “Yes, the board unanimously decided to skip two scenes.”
When asked why the Indian flag and anthem needed to be cut, Hasan said: “The decision is the collective wisdom of the board.” He further added that it was now up to the local distributor to release it or not. The movie’s distributor in Pakistan is Geo Films.
Later, Aamir decided not to release the movie in Pakistan, as the demanded cuts were important to the spirit of the film.
“Dangal” is a movie inspired by the real life story of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. The movie was highly praised and loved by Indian audiences.
