Lisa Haydon, Bollywood actor, has given a strict response to an Indian Newspaper which tried to slam her for marrying a “Pakistani”.
Haydon, recently, got married with her long-time boyfriend Dino Lalvani in a private wedding in Thailand. But, the stereotypical Indian Newspapers didn’t digest the information well!
DNA India published a lengthy story on cross-border marriages and called Lisa’s new family ‘Pakistanis’, even though they are Indians. They further stated that Lisa is just a misfit for the Indian Industry and there would be no affect on the Indian cinema, if she leaves.
This didn’t sit well with the Indian actress and she took her stance to a series of threads in Twitter;
Dear @dna my husband is Indian. My father in law – Gulu Lalvani, was born in pre partition India and was thrown out of what is today…

Called Pakistan – to call someone who has gone through the struggles of partition non Indian is absurd.

Sad this article are the good wishes you would give a girl on the day she begins a new&exciting chapter in her life.
