It’s never easy to give up on something you once wanted more than life itself. Something that you always thought would be your saving grace.
No matter how much you tried to go away from it, it was hard to step back and let go. Even when it all made no sense, this was all that felt like it was meant to be.
Just being away seemed nothing less than a knife to your chest or a punch to your throat, it was like you were left gasping for air and this person was the only way you could breathe.
Then there were times when it was nothing less than perfect, but then come the bad days, when all you want to do is get away from them, the thought of them, everything about those memories is nothing but a stinging pain in your heart.
What does one even do? Stay or let go?
Figuring out is the hard part but once you’re ready, you’ll know which path to take.
