Nadia Jamil ne apni awaaz uthai aur Twitter pe wo sab batadia jo aaj tak kisi ne na socha tha! She was once too a victim of childhood sexual harassment.
“Mein sirf 4 saal ki thi jab mujhe pehle sexually abuse kiya gaya. Aur mein college me thi jab sab kuch haudh se agay guzar chuka tha!”
Wo na sirf is baray me boli ke ye kabhi rukta nahi but also told how people reacted to her talking about it openly.
“Logo ne kaha ke is baray me mat bola karo apni family ke respect ke liye par kia KHANDAAN KI IZZAT meri izzat se ziada hai? I am a proud, strong, loving survivor. Mujhe koi sharam nahi is baray mein bolne me na hi mere bacho ko hai, kyun ke they are proud of me being me and being strong enough to talk in my defense.”
But she did not stop here, and tweeted aur us janwar ke baray me bataya ke kon tha woh aur kese “Mard sexually abuse karte hain dunya bhar.” Nadia ne kaha, ke ye us aurat ya bachi ka kasoor nahi hota kabhi;
Aur isi tarah Nadia ne apni tweets nd story se bohat se dusre mard aur aurtoon ko himat di ke woh bhi apni awaaz uthaye aur bol jaye woh sab jo aj tak unse na kaha gaya;
But as usual there were some naysayers and those who doubted her motives as “propaganda”, to which Nadia Jamil gave an apt response;
Ek banday ne usey “a serial victim” ka title diya aur pucha ke kyun Nadia ki family ne kabhi action nahi liya, further saying “important to share some basic things to educate others”;
Nadia ne jawaab diya: “Asaan nahi hota in incidents ke baray me bolna jab aap young and lost ho. Easier to judge.”
Unke khayal me, “The cure is literacy, poverty alleviation and an empathetic education that counters all patriarchal, misogynistic discourse on women, womens bodies & male entitlement to sexual gratification for power. PLUS awareness & protection workshops 4 Kids, schools, parents! There is a way.”
Nadia ne agay barhte hue un sab larkiyo aur aurto ko himat di aur kaha ke unka support un sab sexual harassment ke victims ke saath hai;
She ended up quoting:
“I only share it so more women & men who have been abused STOP feeling SHAME & see their is a light inside them Allah has kept burning. Shine it! There is a way out of the hell of humiliation & pain. We can make it out & up to a beautiful place of gratitude! Always! Shukar always!”
