The Los Angeles Police Department is not investigating the actor Brad Pitt for child abuse, a spokesperson confirmed on Thursday.
“We understand how rumors get spun up,” he said, “and hopefully we can put a few of them to rest. We have no criminal investigation that we are actively pursuing. We are not investigating any case, nor do we have any allegations against Mr Pitt.”
Earlier TMZ stated that, Brad Pitt was reportedly under investigation for child abuse. The site wrote, “Brad, Angelina and their kids were on a flight last Wednesday when he allegedly got wasted on the private jet. He went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids.” Someone anonymously reported what happened, initiating an investigation.
Angelina separated from Pitt the day this incident occurred and filed for divorce a few days later.
A source close to Brad told, “He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” adding, “it’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”
