Keira Knightley has come a long, long way since 2002’s “Bend It like Beckham.” The actress received her OBE — that’s short for Most Excellent Order of the British Empire — for her services to drama and charity at Buckingham Palace. She arrived with her parents, Sharman Knightley and Kevin William Knightley, and her husband, James Righton, to collect it wearing top-to-toe Chanel.
The actress looked proud as Prince Charles pinned the OBE onto her jacket. She then posed for cameras outside the palace. For the very special occasion, Knightley wore a full Chanel catwalk look from the house’s spring/summer 2017 couture collection.
The ensemble featured a tweed jacket with a matching skirt, a white shirt with a black bow, a pink belt and a matching tweed hat. She accessorised with brown lace-up heels and a white handbag.
As a Chanel ambassador and face of the brand’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, Knightley frequently chooses the fashion house for red-carpet occasions, including recently for the Nutcracker and the Four Realms premiere, where she stole the show in a frothy, feathered gown from the label.
