Princess Diana is surely one of the most famous and influential royals out there till date. She was titled as “The People’s Princess” for her charitable and humanitarian work.
Unfortunately in 1997, Lady Diana passed away due to a car crash. However, her sons and daughters in law are seen determined to keep her spirit alive in every special occasion.
Quite recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie was christened. And once again we witnessed both Markle and Middleton paying tribute to the late Princess in heart touching ways.
The most prominent thing that the Duchess of Cambridge did for Archie’s christening were to wear some very special earrings. Kate opted for Collingwood pearl earrings that Princess Diana herself wore to Prince Harry’s christening back in 1984.
Though it was an extremely warm gesture from her side but many fans deemed her move to be inappropriate and that Meghan should have been the one wearing them.
On the other hand, Meghan too paid tribute to Diana in her own ways. Firstly she chose to dress Archie in the same gown as his cousins. The dress is a replica of the original which was worn by 62 royals starting from Princess Victoria in 1841 till Lady Louise Windsor in 2004.
Additionally, Princess Diana’s two sisters were also present at the event. Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale were spotted in the official portraits which were released by the Royal Family.
