Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted extremely hot weather for Karachi. Saying the temperature may rise to 44 C !!
The current temperature was recorded at 40C with humidity level was at 30%
Strong winds are likely in the city today, the weather department has notified that winds are blowing at a speed of 9km per hour said that due to the effects of the storm in Karachi, the weather has been hot since Sunday and is likely to remain extremely hot even today. The temperature is expected to be between 43°C and 44°C. The Met Office said the last time the temperature in Karachi had crossed 44°C was on April 14, 1947.
The Met Office said the cyclonic storm Tauktae is moving further north-northwestward and is at a distance of about 800 km south-southeast of Karachi. There are no chances of rain due to the system moving away from the city.
No rain is expected in Karachi, however, it might rain in Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas and other cities.
Here are some ways to stay cool in the Karachi heat:
Don’t go out between 12pm and 3pm when the sun is the strongest
Wear loose fitting and lightweight clothing
Wear sunscreen and stay in the shade
Drink plenty of fluids
Cover your head (wear a scarf or cap)
Use lip balm and eye drops to make sure your lips and eyes don’t get too dry
You should also know what the symptoms are of a heat stroke.

Dizziness and light-headedness
Lack of sweating despite the heat
Red, hot, and dry skin
Muscle weakness or cramps
Nausea and vomiting
Rapid heartbeat

Seizures
Unconsciousness
