The 41-year-old rapper may have backed out from last year’s festival, but that doesn’t mean you won’t see him performing Coachella weekend. On Sunday March 31, kanye announced that he’s bringing his weekly Sunday Service, which features him and a host of other musicians performing both gospel and pop culture singers, to Coachella Music Festival on Easter Sunday, April 21.
Kanye West made the surprise announcement while flying with his Sunday Service crew on Sunday. In a video posted by his wife Kim Kardashian, Kanye is shown sharing the news on the airplane’s loudspeaker. “We’d like to an announcement that we just booked another show. We will be doing Sunday Service sunrise at Coachella,” he said. The camera then turned to his excited Sunday Service team, who was screaming with joy after hearing the news.

Last year he backed out of coachella, after the organizers didn’t agree to his idea for a custom built stage for his performance. Kanye’s Coachella Sunday Service will take place on Weekend 2’s Sunday, on a mountain in Palm Springs.
