Kal Ho Naa Ho turns 19

Its so astonishing to see how time flies, its been 19 years since Kal Ho Naa Ho was released! It was indeed one of the best films of 2003. It featured Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The story of the film was penned by Karan Johar and it was produced by his dad, Yash Johar. As the film turned 19 today (November 28), Karan shared a heartfelt post on Instagram. He shared BTS photos from the set of Kal Ho Naa Ho. He also recalled being on the ‘last film set’ with his father, Yash Johar.

Karan had written the story and screenplay of the film directed by Nikkhil Advani. It was produced by Yash Johar and was his last film before his death in 2004. Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Karan wrote, “An entire lifetime of memories, in a heartbeat! This film gave so much more than just that – it gave me joy, unbreakable bonds, a different lens for story telling and of course – the last film set I could be on with my father. And for that, I will forever be grateful to this film! #19YearsOfKalHoNaaHo.”

The much-loved film stars Shah Rukh Khan in the role of Aman Mathur, Preity Zinta as Naina Catherine Kapur and Saif Ali Khan as Rohit Patel. The film opened to positive reviews and was reportedly the highest box-office grosser of the year. The performances of the lead actors were appreciated by one and all, and to date, Kal Ho Naa Ho receives love and praise from fans and critics alike. Over the years, the film’s team has revealed several little and big things from the shooting days and fans are here for it.
