Kajol’s best and most iconic films have been with filmmaker friend Karan Johar. Her friendship went sour as Karan’s much-hyped film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clashed with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay at the box office. She believes that chances of her teaming up with the film-maker are negligible.
“If you’re not comfortable with the people you’re working with, if you cannot speak up, or speak to the people you’re working with… I think communication is a key element in working with people. You can’t work alongside them if you don’t talk,” she said.
“When I sign a film, in my head, I know I have to spend a certain number of days with an entire team and the director being the head of the team. If I don’t get along well with a filmmaker, I will never do his or her films. I find it useless to be on a film set where I don’t enjoy working,” she further said.
Speaking about her fallout with Karan, Kajol said, “Let me put it this way, I am not answering any questions on that particular point. If any of my other friends want to offer me a film I’ll definitely do it.”
