Sufi rock band Junoon is bringing a slice of nostalgia to the United Kingdom this summer as the band gears up for a brand new tour.
Speaking to Geo News about their upcoming UK tour, guitarist Salman Ahmed said, “The tour will take us to many places around the world, but these UK shows will be incredibly special. The UK is home to many Pakistani fans who have supported us over the years, so we are super excited to perform for them once again”
Ahmed added, “We have been carefully crafting the most exhilarating, unique, memorable piece of art to share with our incredible fans. Not only will we be performing our hit numbers from the past but will surprise our fans with some brand new collaborations.”
Of course, Ahmed is not the only one excited about Junoon’s upcoming tour. Fans of the band have gone wild with excitement since the announcement.
“I am from Karachi and grew up listening to Junoon in Pakistan, but was missing their music for a long time. I am very excited and can’t wait for them to perform together once again here in the UK,” a fan said.
Another added, “I have always been a Junoon fan but never had a chance to experience their unique style of music live, now is the time.”
Junoon will be performing on August 25 at the London’s SSE Arena and at the Leeds First Direct Arena on August 26. The tickets for both the shows are on sale, but fans are demanding more shows from the band in the UK.
Junoon — which comprises Ali Azmat, the vocalist, Salman Ahmed on guitars and Brian O’Connell as the bassist — came back together in Karachi on the birth anniversary of the country’s founding father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah last year.
Geo TV Network and Jang Group, the largest media group of Pakistan is the promotion partner of Junoon’s UK come back tour.
