Junoon accuse Punjab Government of using ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ without permission

Reflecting to the recent Multan Metro inaugural ceremony and the Metro in South Punjab TVC, Vital Signs’ famous song ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ was used as a background jingle during the inaugural speech, which was highly criticized by Junoon.

In vengeance, Junoon took to their official Facebook page and expressed their hard feelings by stating:

“Less than two months since JJ passed on & the Pakistan Gov’t has desecrated his memory by stealing our anthem, Dil Dil Pakistan. No one asked the Vital Signs if they could use DDP anthem in a Nawaz Sharif TV jingle made on taxpayer’s money. The Gov’t has mutilated Dil Dil Pakistan’s melody & arrangement to produce a hideous Multan Metro TV commercial. PM Sharif just got back from an Anti-Corruption summit in Davos & is still willfully ignorant about stealing tunes from artists & national Icons. Intellectual property theft is an international crime.”
