Space the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship enterprise, it’s continuing mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life, new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.
Those are the words that first got me interested in outer space. I was barely eight years old and I found a cassette with the words Star Trek: The Next Generation. I remember going to the living room putting the cassette in to the VCR and just sitting there. I sat still for 5 hours just glued to the TV. Even though Star Trek is fiction, it got me interested in something real. Space it is the final exploration mission mankind will make. The journey that will make mankind immortal in a way.
I do believe that there is more going on among the stars then there is on our little blue planet. The universe is full of little and big miracles happening all the time. One just has to look hard enough.
We are lucky enough to live in a world technologically advanced enough to see some of these miracles happen. A star going super nova is a miracle in my opinion and a hundred years ago you would not be able to document these miracles but now thanks to satellites like the Kepler which not only documents space activity but is also discovering new planets and according to recent studies of these planets some or at least one of them can sustain life. Just the thought of another habitable planet sends chills down my spine. Imagine the things one can discover a whole new planet unexplored and untouched. What miracles may lie on the planet not even NASA knows yet.
But I can’t wait till the day when they and the world finds out.
