Seeing as though “Jennifer Lopez” is synonymous with “glow,” it made total sense when her makeup artist, Scott Barnes, let out the secret that JLo would be creating her own bronzer. And high time, really! Her best-selling fragrance, Glow by JLo, launched way back in 2002 — and I, for one, have been waiting for an expansion into full-body J-glow ever since.
So what exactly can we expect?
Lopez’s 70-piece capsule collection is “filled with all my go-to products in my favorite colors,” Lopez said in a press release. “We have everything from mascara, lipsticks, eyelashes, blush, eye shadow and of course…bronzers.” There will be a series of shimmering powders, age-defying highlighters, and beach-y bronze eyeshadow palettes—one that is completely customizable, with over 300,000 combination possibilities—to help achieve the singer’s lit-from-within complexion. And according to Inglot, Lopez worked closely with the brand to develop the packaging, colors, and shade names, dubbing two hero skus as “Boogie Down Bronze” and “Livin’ The Highlight,” inspired by her global, decades-long career.
Says Lopez, “What I think is unique and exciting is our Freedom System Palette—which allows you to create your own personalized palette with the specific colors and products that you need. Now you no longer have to buy that 5-piece eyeshadow kit to get the one color you really want!
Here’s to hoping that the mother-of-two’s carefully crafted cosmetics line comes with a glow-inducing body oil. After all, her washboard abs and flawless, Tracy-Anderson-made limbs once compelled Kardashian West to famously deem the pop icon as #BodyGoals. Simply judging from the star’s wildly popular fragrances, this collection is one to stock up on.
