For about after a century, the marble stone protecting the tomb of what Christians believe to be Jesus, in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem has been uncovered for renovations.
A solid marble slab covering the holiest site of Christianity was lifted for three days for restoration and archaeological purposes. As per the Christian’s faith the slab which had been used for the crucifixion will also be renovated.
THE SLAB:
The slab which is considered to cover the body of Jesus just underneath it. It is said to be the only layer between the world and Jesus. The slab has been unveiled after centuries.
THE PILLAR:
The pillar which is widely believed by the Christians, throughout the world, to be the site of Jesus’ crucifixion
THE MARBLE BLOCK:
The Marble blocks placed above the grave were found to be 500 years old. While, the workers also uncovered marbles underneath dating back to the 12th century crusaders.
JESUS:

PRESERVATION:
