Jennifer Lopez starts her new tour

Jennifer Lopez rocks the stage after years as the singer starts her It’s My Party tour. “Tonight’s the night! SOOOOOOO excited to show you guys what we’ve been working so hard on. See you at The Forum! It’s party time! (sic)” wrote Lopez on Instagram.

The singer has been regularly sharing the making videos of her tour on YouTube. She first revealed about the tour on the Ellen DeGeneres show in February. Starting on June 8 in California, the tour will go around a number of cities till July 26 with Lopez performing in Miami.

Lopez sang more than 20 of her hits, and nearly every performance was a dazzling spectacle in itself, featuring lavish production numbers and more dancers than one could count with the occasional pyrotechnics and fireworks thrown in for good measure. So in the end, some of the most memorable moments were those that stood out from the non-stop party vibe.

At the first stop on her “It’s My Party Tour” at The Forum in Los Angeles, Jennifer Lopez began the countdown to her 50th birthday in a big way. She performed hits like “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and “On the Floor” accompanied by her signature choreography and plenty of over-the-top costume changes.

But then she surprised the crowd by bringing out one very special guest for her tour’s opening night: Her daughter, Emma. The 11-year-old—whom Lopez shares with her ex, salsa singer Marc Anthony, in addition to Emme’s twin brother, Max—joined her mom on stage in a matching tulle gown to sing “Limitless” from the Second Act soundtrack. As the duo harmonized together and Emme showed off her angelic vocals, Lopez got visibly emotional, tearing up and embracing her daughter. On Instagram, J.Lo posted the moment with the simple happy caption: “I can’t take it! #Emme #Limitless#ProudMama #JLoItsMyParty”
