Fragrance enthusiasts, here’s one for you. Dior are releasing their first major new perfume since 1999’s J’Adore Dior, and actress Jennifer Lawrence will be its face.
The as-yet-unnamed scent will be released later in the year.
While we don’t yet know what kind of fragrance we’re working with, we can bet it’ll be a winner.
Lawrence lends her “radiant beauty and her joie-de-vivre to his new, extraordinary creation,” Dior said.
The scent has been formulated by François Demachy, Dior’s perfumer-creator, the nose behind a raft of Dior releases as well as fragrances for Fendi, Emilio Pucci, and many others.
It’s “an unprecedented fragrance and a powerful universe which mark the beginning of a new era for fragrance at the house of Dior,” the statement continued.
Lawrence first signed with the LVMH-owned house in 2012 with a fashion contract, and has since promoted the brand’s handbags, clothing, and beauty lines.
The 27-year-old star rose to fame in 2011 with her Oscar-nominated role in Winter’s Bone, before landing the role of Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games series.
