Ever since the release of Dostana, all we have been hearing is that there will be a sequel to the film. However, nothing has been finalized yet, reasons best known to Karan Johar. But if rumors are to be believed, the sequel of Dostana will finally see the light of the day. If reports are to be believed, the sequel to the 2008 release will have Dhadak star Janhvi Kapoor andSidharth Malhotra in the lead roles. If it is true, it will be very interesting to see Janhvi and Sidharth together onscreen.
After the success of Dostana, the lack of a good script indefinitely postponed the making of its sequel. However, we finally hear that the script for the same has been finalized and Karan Johar has reportedly roped in Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor for the film. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Karan Johar always wanted to make Dostana 2, especially after the first film worked so well. Now finally he has a script for the film, which of course will speed up production. As for the cast, Karan has finalized both Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, and is currently looking out for the third lead role that will again be a male lead. Like the first film, this one too will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The only difference will be the story and cast that will change. But as of now with the hunt still on, the film is still a long way off from going on floor.
Tarun Mansukhani’s Dostana was released back in 2008, starring John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra.
