When it comes to producing world-class movies at exquisite locations, Pakistani filmmakers are taking the trend to another level. Following the much longer trail, upcoming Pakistani flick “Jackpot” is not far behind in starting a new era in Pakistani film productions.
While speaking to Dawn Images about his upcoming movie, producer Khurram Riaz said:
“It’s a musical comedy that revolves around a lottery ticket that lands itself in one character’s coat. From there on it travels from Pakistan to Phuket, Thailand and back again to Pakistan and with it travel other characters running after the lottery, from one country to another. That’s why the name is Jackpot.”
The first spell of the shooting has already been done and dusted in Thailand. However, Coral Island and James Bond Island are the next locations at which the movie will be shot. The director has also proudly flaunted that Jackpot would be the first Pakistani movie ever to be shot on James Bond Island.
Jackpot is written by Babar Kashmiri, while Naveed Nashad is music director and Sony Dangerous has choreographed the dance sequences. Furthermore, Anubhav Bansal for cinematography and Shoaib Khan for direction have also been roped in from India.
The cast includes; Noor Hassan, Sanam Chaudhry, Javed Sheikh, Inayat Khan, Reyhana Malhotra (India), Adnan Shah (Tipu), Sana Fukher, Faiza Khan, Sajan Abbas and Ismail Tara. The film is slated to release by 2017.
