We hear Mahira Khan is a woman in love.
As Samina Peerzada’s latest guest on her web show, Rewind with Samina Peerzada, the Verna actor revealed all (but the name) in a lockdown interview conducted via video.
When asked by the host whether she was in love with someone special, a visibly sheepish and shy Khan smiled and confessed, “Yeah, I think I am in love.”
Upon inquiring if Peerzada would know the lucky beau, Khan replied, “You might but he’s not from the industry.”
The superstar, who does not want to reveal the name with the world, said, “This is one thing I would want to protect with my life.”
Giving an example of her private life with her son, she added, “At first, I wanted to show everyone what an adorable baby Azlan is, but now I’ve become more cautious.”
“I know we shouldn’t be so superstitious and I wasn’t someone who you would call a vehmi, but now I’m just like I don’t want any nazar,” she shared.
We understand where Mahira is coming from especially considering how easily she comes under scrutiny for the smallest act and how haters troll her.
Good thing she herself believes in being kind as she mentioned, “There is such power in kindness and love. I’ve seen in my life that kindness heals, love heals you. And cruelty can kill you.”
Mahira did compare what’s it like to be in love in a global pandemic though. Said the star, “It’s like when I’m traveling but I’m never traveling for this long!”
The conversation came from the topic of the marriage rumors that have circulated the actor many a times.
“I mean, everybody else is getting married but I’m not.”
“My grandmother shared the story of that very young couple that got married and then said ‘if they can do it may you should also think now?’ I replied that we’re in corona time right now!”
Khan also revealed that before the lockdown was announced, she was busy shooting Neelofar, a film with Fawad Khan.
“We were shooting for the film before this entire situation happened. There were only 10 days left for the shooting but now we don’t even know when it’ll be finished.”
