Ice is my skin’s bestfriend

Because it is exposed to so much, especially in polluted cities, the skin is one of the most mistreated regions of the body. Whether it’s pollution in the air and water, heat from the sun, or being gnawed to death by insects, we have to deal with it all. Needless to say, we’re on the lookout for new techniques to renew and retain our skin’s radiance. Getting rid of imperfections and the perennially fatigued appearance that we have would be a bonus! As a result, we are constantly willing to test a new therapy. Skin icing is a treatment that can be applied at any time to improve skin clarity and tone, as well as eliminate puffy eyes and ageing indications.

As absurd as it may seem to a lot of people, ice can be use as a great agent to prevent your skin from getting acne and it tightens the skin as well.

How do you go about doing it?

Four or five ice cubes from the ice trays should be placed in a soft cotton handkerchief. You can do it using a soft handkerchief. Roll the ends and gently massage your face and body with the coated ice cubes. Move the ice in moderate circular motions for a minute or two when applying it to your face. It can be applied on the forehead, cheeks, jaw line, nose, chin, and lips.

Benefits:

  • Improves blood circulation: The ice’s low temperature decreases blood flow in capillaries, reducing the amount of blood under the skin at that spot. The iced portion of the body gradually responds to the cold therapy by sending more warm blood into the area, boosting circulation.
  • Swelling and inflammation of the skin are regular occurrences in humans because they engage in physical activities, acquire rashes, and are bitten by insects. The ice’s temperature will limit blood flow, lowering the liquid content in the affected area of the body and reducing edema.
  • Sunburns are soothed: If you frequent the beach or have to stay out in the sun for lengthy periods of time, you are likely to get sunburned, which you may not notice until much later. Aside from being extremely painful, sunburns can have an adverse effect on the skin’s quality. Icing is one of the most efficient and effective ways to treat sunburns.
  • Increases the skin’s radiance: When the face is exposed to environmental influences such as wind, sun, and pollution, it quickly becomes weary. When you add in the stress of your daily routine, the strain of deadlines, and the errands you have to run, your face is guaranteed to look dull. Icing the skin rejuvenates it.
  • Oiliness, blemishes, pimples, and acne are all reduced: Oily skin can be tough to manage, especially when all you want to do is rub the oiliness away with a napkin! Continuous rubbing can be hazardous since it can be rough on the skin if done too often. Icing the skin comes to the rescue! The skin pores are minimised during ice, resulting in a reduction in excessive oil production. The skin feels less tacky and doesn’t appear oily as a result. The procedure also aids in the reduction of acne, pimples, and blackheads, as well as the prevention of skin blemishes. Wounds and cuts can be treated with this method.
