I have been suppressing my emotions lately!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend.

The things that i want to discuss today is that, Have you ever found yourself saying “I have been suppressing my emotions lately”? It’s a common experience, and one that can have negative consequences on our mental and physical health.

Suppressing emotions can happen for many reasons. Maybe you’ve been raised to believe that expressing emotions is a sign of weakness, or you fear being judged or rejected for showing vulnerability. Whatever the reason, it’s important to recognize that suppressing emotions can lead to increased stress and anxiety, depression, and physical pain.

When we suppress our emotions, we deny ourselves the opportunity to process them and move forward, this is what I’m doing lately and it’s killing me, just try not to suppress them you know they can grow, causing more harm in the long run. It’s important to find healthy ways to express emotions and release them, whether that means talking to a therapist, journaling, or finding creative outlets.

It’s also important to recognize that expressing emotions doesn’t mean being overly dramatic or volatile. It’s about acknowledging and processing feelings in a healthy and constructive way. By doing so, we can improve our mental and physical health, strengthen our relationships, and live a more fulfilling life.

So, if you’ve been suppressing your emotions lately, it’s okay to seek help and find ways to express them in a healthy way. Remember, emotions are a natural part of the human experience, and acknowledging and processing them is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Your emotions are a part of who you are, and you deserve to feel them. Don’t be afraid to express yourself and let your feelings be known. Remember, vulnerability is a strength, and allowing yourself to be seen and heard is a beautiful thing. Have a great day 🫶🏻
