Everyone wants to keep their hair healthy so that they grow thick and long. Following a haircare routine helps maintain hair. Hair fall is one of the major problems everyone is facing nowadays. One should get frequent trims and get rid off the dead ends. Brushing your hair before going to bed enhances blood circulation of the scalp and then one should sleep on silk pillow case as it helps avoid breakage and tangles. How we wash our hair and how we handle our wet hair is also important. One should not shampoo everyday because it dries out the scalp and hair and make them weak. It is advised to wash your hair thrice a week only as it allows the scalp to secrete natural oils and repair the scalp. In addition to this, washing hair with cold or room temperature water helps seal hair follicles and it strengthens hair fibres.
One more mistake people make is that they roughly dry their wet hair after shower. We should always gently dry our hair with towel and using a microfibre towel is very good for our hair. And we should let our hair dry naturally and not use hairdryers or brushes and combs immediately. Oiling your hair with good organic hair oils like, almond, or coconut aids hair growth and makes them strong and thick. This also nourishes our scalp and prevents dandruff too.
Hair growth has a lot to do with our diet too. What we eat and in what proportions we eat. To provide nutrition for hair growth we need to consume protein everyday. For example, fish chicken, eggs. Other than proteins we need to have mineral rich diet which includes vitamin A,C,E and zinc and iron. It gets sometimes very hard to manage your hair with the busy schedule but incorporating good eating habits and protecting your hair from direct sunlight prevents damage.
