It’s that time of the year again where we slap our hands against our cheeks and let out that iconic scream just like Kevin McCallister!
In case you haven’t heard, our favourite Christmas of all time is going through a reboot (of course) over at Disney+.
That’s right, Home Alone is getting a reboot! … But… We’re not too sure how to feel about it just yet.
This time around, Macaulay Culkin will (obviously) not be returning to reprise his childhood role but instead, E! News has confirmed that Jojo Rabbit star, Archie Yates has been casted to fill these huge shoes.
But wait. According to Variety, the young actor will “not be playing the iconic Kevin McCallister, but a new character in a similar premise to the original franchise.”
It has also been reported that the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Ellie Kemper and comedian Rob Delaney have also signed on to star in the reboot alongside Archie.
Initially, it was thought that the two actors would take on the role as Archie’s parents but it now looks like they could be playing completely different roles.
We’re interested to see what a new remake of Home Alone would look like but of course, we’ve still got the original close to our hearts…
