The Sindh High Court has passed its verdict on the closure of wine houses in Karachi and throughout the entire province of Sindh. The verdict was passed after an ongoing debate that persuaded to the fact that these shops were a disgrace to the culture and norms of an Islamic Republic state.
All wine shops were already operating illegally in the Province, after which the respected court of law has taken up a decision worth appreciating, for the betterment of the society.
The bill passed on the base that many wine shops had opened in areas which highly affected the Muslims, violating Islamic principles. It was stated that wine is an alcoholic substance which not only harms the body of an individual, but also damages the institution of family and society.
