Indian movie Raees which was scheduled to hit Pakistani cinemas on Sunday has been cancelled and is most likely to be banned because of portraying Muslims in inappropriate way, sources close to the censor board stated.
According to the reports, Shah Rukh Khan is shown as a Muslim gangster involved in crimes and immoral activities. Sources told that a committee constituting board members will be formed to review the movie’s content and the decision on its release in the country will be taken accordingly.
The movie is apparently defaming Muslims for showing them as goons and disreputable underworld figures.
Raees is facing many issues, in India the film faced severe public outrage from certain sections for allegedly favouring Pakistan and Muslims, while in Pakistan the movie will be banned for the completely opposite reason.
