As fans are eagerly waiting for the final season of the hit series “Game of Thrones” to start airing on April 14, HBO has announced that a two-hour documentary will be aired after a week of the series finale.
The documentary Game of thrones: The Last Watch will be aired on May 26 that will take fans behind the scenes and “delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland,” the press release said.
According to HBO, the episode is “much more than a ‘making of’ documentary—this is a funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world—and then have to say goodbye to it.”
The directorial of filmmaker Jeanie Finlay will show the sets and the cast and production crew struggling in extreme weather conditions, punishing deadlines and an ever-excited fandom hungry for spoilers.
