As you all must be aware that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been together for over three years now. But still, time and again, there are rumours circulating about a split between the two lovebirds.
A few days backs, several reports claimed that there’s some tension going on between the couple and that the two might no longer be together.
It was being speculated that their relationship had hit a rough patch. But, neither Deepika nor Ranveer spoke about the rumours as it is not for the first time that their personal life has been under public scrutiny.
But when Deepika was questioned about it, she refuted the rumours in her own style.
On being asked whether she feels upset about reports of her alleged break-up with Ranveer, she said: “I don’t, because there is nothing to ‘take’. I have understood it (the speculations) well enough to know what I should absorb and what I shouldn’t. After a point, one becomes completely immune to these things.”
She further explained in the interview: “You can only do things that are in your control. Certain things are a given when you are in this industry. I am sure there are certain advantages and disadvantages of being in this industry. And this is one of the things one has to deal with, and that’s totally fine. The ups, the positives, and the love we get is way too much for us to get bogged down by the speculations or the negativity.”
However, the fans can now take a sigh of relief as they will not find the name of this couple on the list of many high profile break-ups that made it to the headlines this year.
