Hair care in the monsoon season !

The current monsoon weather is really bad for our hair and it gets tough to take care of your hair because of the continuous humidity. The hair gets oily and the shine fades away. Humid weather makes our hair rough and coarse.

The best way to protect your hair in this weather is to oil your scalp atleast twice a week. For better results, you can mix two or more oils that suit your hair better and warm them up a little before a head massage. Coconut oil and olive oil work wonders when mixed together and applied to the roots and strands of your hair. It fights dandruff and roughness leaving your hair cleaner and smoother.

Other tips include homemade remedies using flax seeds, aloevera, rice and onion water or egg and yoghurt.

-Using a mixture of one egg yolk and yoghurt once every two weeks provide your hair all the protein it needs. However excessive use of egg yolk protein can be dangerous to the roots.

-Soaking a tablespoon full flax seeds overnight in normal water and applying the gel to your roots and strands would make your hair relatively smoother and shinier.

-Aloevera can be mixed with rose water and coconut oil to promote hair growth and healthy hair.

-A mixture of rice water and onion waters also makes your hair grow longer.

Try to avoid frequent usage of heat induced styling tools on your hair because they result in taking away the natural shine of your hair and make it weaker resulting in easy

breakage and cause damage.
