After the colossal success of the first 4 Chapters of WAJD – Volume 1, Kamli Da Dhola, Bhit Ja Bhitai, Aaj Rung Hai and Kamli – (Bulleh Shah). Hadiqa Kiani takes a refreshing new take in her melodious voice on the classic Sufi number “Chaap Tilak” originally written by Hazrat Ameer Khusro in Braj Bhahsha as the fifth chapter. Hadiqa Kiani is winning hearts once again with her impeccable vocals and also a never-seen-before avatar in a very traditional look designed by the theatrical Ali Xeeshan.
Written and narrated by Hadiqa Kiani, additional composition, melodic improvisations, and on the harmonium is Irfan Kiani. He is also behind the production and mastering of the music. Ustad Nafees Ahmed features on the sitar, Rajvir on the dholak; backing vocals are by Irfan, Imran, Sharafat, Sakhawat and Badshah.
The video of this foot tapping classic wedding number is set around wedding festivities; the viewer goes through a cultural wedding celebration happening at the iconic Haveli Barood Khana, with Hasnain Lehri as the groom and Anushey Mughal as the bride. This is not the first time Kiani’s video has been shot at Haveli Barood Khana, the very popular Boohe Baariyan had also been shot at the same location.
The visualization, direction and post production for the Braj Bhahsha Chapter 5 “Chaap Tilak” has been done by Abdullah Haris. The traditional wedding set has been designed and managed by Art Director Aima Jaffar, styling and make – up is by Hadiqa Kiani Salon and wardrobe by Ali Xeeshan.
