The famous Pakistani singer Hadiqa Kiani became a part of the headlines when a British website ‘Metro UK’ spread the news of she being caught in smuggling cocaine at the airport. However the news was all fake, as Hadiqa soon after tweeted that she is in Lahore with her family and the rumour is entirely baseless. She also posted her picture along with mother and son to prove the claim.
Owing to the news being spread through the length and breadth around the world, Hadiqa has finally filed a defamation lawsuit against the website, claiming that it harmed her reputation in the country. However, the extent of this suit and processions are still unknown to the general public.
Metro UK had built up the entire scenario that British Police had seized cocaine worth 80,000 pounds from her possession at Heathrow Airport. They claimed that:
“Hadiqa was taken to a private search room, where the officers found a second bag full of powder. Both tested positive for cocaine”.
Hadiqa Kiani has strongly reacted to the situation and has geared up completely to avenge the accusation.
