Green Entertainment has emerged as a groundbreaking forcesince it surfaced, setting new standards in the industry with its unique and thought-provoking narratives. Their latest offering, Fatima Feng, a riveting drama that hit the airwaves recently, has captivated viewers with its fresh perspective and a powerful exploration of diverse themes.
Since the teasers of Fatima Feng were released, we were anxiously waiting for it to hit the airwaves. The initial couple of episodes of the serial went on air and we can gladly say that it made a promising beginning with an intriguing introductory episodes. Penned by Asma Wazir Gul and directed by FahimBurney, the initial episodes primarily introduced us to the lead characters and their links with each other while also giving us insights into their personalities.
This drama mainly revolves around a girl Jia Feng (HowaraBatool) who has grown up in an atheist environment plagued by resentment against Muslims due to the tragic loss of her father in a terrorist attack. Her inner conflicts and negative thoughts against Muslims and their actions are skillfully portrayed throughout the episodes. Jia leads her father’s business after his death and has a business partner Jahangir (Babar Ali). Jahangir’s son, Ammar (Usama Khan) has recently returned from America and we are also introduced to his thoughts and perceptions in these initial episodes.
Ammar is a young man who seeks to break free from traditional norms, opting to establish his own startup instead of joining an established business of his father. We are introduced to his family dynamics as well as his parent’s wish to get him married to his cousin Natasha (Meher Bano), an artist specializing in abstract painting. This element adds complexity to the narrative, as it touches on tradition, family expectations, and the pursuit of personal dreams, all skillfully interwoven into the storyline.
The drama has a lot to offer in terms of themes, story, acting as well as direction. Howara Batool has portrayed her character with finesse, masterfully captivating the audience, and skillfully showcasing the internal conflict that plagues her. Usama Khan is also impressive as Ammar and we look forward to see more of him in the upcoming episodes. The supporting actors, Babar Ali, Munazzah Arif, Farhan Aly Agha, and Tara Mehmood, have also down a great job with their performances, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
