With Avengers:Endgame finally opening up this weekend, web engine Google has stepped into hype to add an Easter egg to the craze of the final instalment of the Earth’s mightiest heroes final chapter.
Avengers: Endgame is the final instalment of a wildly ambitious 22-film arc featuring the beloved superheroes of the Marvel universe, many of them the creations of late comic book legend Stan Lee.
To get in with the release of Endgame, Google has introduced a neat little trick for users, which is a recap of Thanos’s iconic snap which rid the world of half its people.
Not to worry, this is not a spoiler.
All you have to do is enter ‘Thanos’ into the Google search bar. The search results will appear normal. On the right side of the screen, we will see an image of the Infinity Gauntlet that Thanos wore on his arm in Avengers: Infinity War next to the character’s name.
Click on the Gauntlet, which is in place of the usual share button. There’s a snap of fingers and half of your search results will disappear, hold that, they will turn to dust, much like the characters did at the end of Infinity War.
Google even shows you an updated count of the search results on the upper left corner which is half of the original number.
Worry not, Google does allow you to reverse the effect of the snap. Users can simply click on the Infinity Gauntlet once more and the removed search results will be back on the screen.
