Do you find it frustrating and useless when Facebook recognises people in the photographs and tag them directly.
How the image just shows with a tagging box above it and asks you if a certain person should be tagged because it reads faces.
No offence, it’s definitely a high quality feature and it must’ve also gathered billions of faces this way in its software but for a personal opinion, I think it’s invading privacy and also lack of consent. What if I don’t want to tag my ex in the group photo he’s unfortunately present in? What if I don’t want to tag my husband in an image and Facebook does it because of the face reading software?
Finally, Facebook has gathered senses and decided to remove the face recognition feature from its software and now ethics became a priority.
I’m just glad I won’t need to tag people in the images even if they’re present unfortunately:)
