A Glass of Red Vine = An Hour at The Gym. Is That So?

Early morning today while going through social media my eye caught an amusing result of a research which was conducted by the University of Alberta in Canada, this is not new but the students of this university have found health benefits of resveratrol, a compound found in red wine which are similar to those we get while exercising.

During the study, Resveratrol was seen to improve physical performance, heart function and muscle strength in the same way as they’re improved after a gym session.

According to lead researcher, Jason Dyck, these findings particularly helped those who were unable to exercise. Discussion over these health benefits of red wine were well documented. Studies revealed that those who drink a glass of red wine a day were less likely to develop dementia or cancer, that means it’s good for your heart, anti-ageing and can regulate blood sugar.

Where all students and readers of the west rejoiced this news, I was surprised to see many Muslim fellows sharing this news and feeling quite happy about it. I do believe that we all need to liberate but liberation does not mean we forget our existence as Muslims. Yes, without study and proof I can not claim that this is not true but I personally believe this is a pile of crap put forth under the fancy name of research. Please stop sharing such bizarre news and get your records right first.
