Harassment, Eve-teasing and molestation in public have become a common habit among Pakistanis in public. However, there are girls who are suppressed by these thugs and goons, thinking that in the end it is the girl whose modesty is questioned. But, these girls based in Karachi have finally taken a step towards the useless vagabonds and we can’t be more proud of them.
So, Zoya posted the above story on Snapchat depicting the incident which happened with her on 14th February near Tariq Road after shopping. She posted a complete video on Snapchat in which she narrates this sad episode of a hoodlum who tried to abuse her in public. This loud and proud girl stated that she and her sister Zara were coming back from shopping, fully covered from head to toe, when a guy came from behind and “grabbed her ass”. But her little sister Zara did what most of the girls in Karachi could not have even surmised to do:
So the story unfolds that the girl who was harassed couldn’t chase the guy who did that, but her courageous and dauntless sister ran after him, gathered all the people and beat the shit out of him. Yes, everyone around them holed up to make that guy taste the consequence of his own seeds. What’s more rewarding and palatial about this situation is that the Zara ran after the guy without any fear that she might be alone. Cherry on top, she assembled more than 25 people to make the guy repent the day for his entire life. In the end, these awe-inspiring girls left a message for all:
These girls have definitely opened a new door for everyone who thinks that it is okay to not raise your voice against these day to day harassment incidents. Girls, it is about time you raise your voice and raise it loud and clear that there is no fear and harm in standing up for yourself because you cannot spew more air and life to these pretty much useless goons. And all the guys out there, support girls who are standing for themselves instead of making fun.
As for these girls, we couldn’t be more proud!
