The moment Disney announced the live-action Beauty and the Beast, fans have been wondering what Emma Watson and Dan Stevens would look like.
Entertainment Weekly revealed the first look of its cover on Wednesday, featuring Emma Watson in Belle’s signature yellow gown and Stevens as Beast.
The image shows the predictable couple in the ballroom, dancing the night away before the drama proceeds.
“We tested a lot of yellows. It was just trying to work out the tone,” costume designer Jacqueline Durran stated. “It is still made of silk, but it has a satin finish, so it is less transparent than other organza.”
“There is a cage under some parts of the skirt,” Durran says. “But mainly its layers of organza that just give it a lift, for it to have lightness.”
Famous composers Alan Menken and Tom Rice also wrote new music for the remake, the song called “For Evermore.”
The film features several other stars, including Kevin Kline as Maurice, Adrian Schiller as Monsieur D’Arque, Hattie Morahan as Agathe the Enchantress, Henry Garrett as the King and Harriet Jones as the Queen. It also boasts an impressive voice cast, too, with Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Audra McDonald as Wardrobe, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Babette and Nathan Mack as Chip Potts.
