Fed up of those unwanted pigmentation marks, here’s how to get rid of them

Whether it is sun spots, age spots, sun damage, or melasma – skin pigmentation is a common issue faced by most of us. While sometimes imperfections can be beautiful, you also cannot deny that if not appropriately addressed, those tiny brown spots adorning your cheeks or nose can become a real problem! You don’t need to hide them anymore; you can take steps to fade them away. You can use natural methods, without resorting to laser treatment.

Yogurt

Yogurt has lactic acid which helps in shedding the dead cells from the skin. To diminish the pigmentation spots, you would require one tablespoon fresh yogurt. Apply the yogurt on the affected areas and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse off your face with some water.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil helps replenish the dead skin cells and also protects it from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Firstly, wash your face to remove any excessive dirt. Apply the coconut oil to your face and massage it well so that it penetrates deep down the skin’s layers. Once you’re done with the massaging, leave the oil on your skin for about 20-25 minutes so that the extra oil gets absorbed. Wash your face and repeat this method thrice in a week.

Lemon juice

Lemon juice mixed with honey works as a natural bleaching agent. Lemons contain antioxidant properties which not only protect the skin from UV damage but also lightens dark spots.

Tomato

Tomato is well-known for lightening the colour of the skin and removing tanning by neutralising the effect of harmful UV rays. Tomato is considered to be one of the best bleaching agents.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera helps in reducing dark spots and pigmentation. It also protects the skin from the damage caused by UV radiation.
