The drama film, inspired by the famed Urdu poet of 18th century ‘Mir Taqi Mir‘, was awarded the the Best Film and Best Music awards at Dada Saheb Film Festival this year, held in Delhi.
Starring Fahad Mustafa, Iman Ali, Manzar Sehbai and Sanam Saeed in main roles. Mah-e-Mir was screened as part of the official selection at the festival, which included around 60 films.
The film chronicles the life of a young anarchist poet who experiences the suffering that accompanies love, separation and poverty while denouncing tradition.
The movie also won big at Guam International Film Festival last year.
