Exclusive Interview With Mir Lakhmir Baloch Zamurani

Mir Lakhmir Baloch Zamurani

CEO   – Mir Sons & Co

Tell us about your early life and childhood?

I was just a regular kid as everyone else and completed my schooling from the International School. After which, I went to the UK for my LLB but I never practiced law because my father passed away, therefore me and my elder brother had to take over the business. If I come to think of it, I actually discovered a sense of entrepreneurship at the age of 16.

Being one the youngest millionaire of Pakistan, what led you to start trading in crypto?

Crypto is not something our company Mir Sons & Co does; it is something I discovered on my own and invested in with a few of my friends. I did not inform my family about my interest in crypto because it is a new concept, and people in Pakistan do not understand how it works and consider it as a scam. Hence, I left my investment at a halt after 2020 as it was banned in Pakistan and I was not even able to open the app without VPN. The first amount that I invested in Crypto currency was around 80 pounds and when I returned to Pakistan in 2020, my friends from the UK sent me a picture of my portfolio, which shocked me because it was my first time trading in Crypto and I couldn’t believe how my investment had grown from 80 pounds to nearly 18000 pounds. Having said that, I won’t call it success because, in my opinion, success is how you expand your knowledge and use your money in a better way.

Tell us a bit about Mir Sons & Co and other businesses that you are associated with?

Mir Sons & Co has been around since it was founded by my grandfather, who is known as one of Makran’s business tycoons. What I and my brother inherited from the company included Construction and Real Estate, whereas after my father’s demise, I and my brother entered the agricultural sector because the agricultural sector plays an important role in Pakistan but has always been neglected. Having said that, I am only 23 years old and have a long way to go, and I hope to continue growing InshaAllah. We also have official permission and license to deal in arms, and our store will soon open in Karachi, whereas we are currently dealing with it online.

What do you think is the best way to invest money?

The best way to invest money is to first conduct thorough research, as this is the only way to make informed decisions and set goals.

Owing to the current inflation would you ever want to leave Pakistan?

I always had the option of leaving Pakistan and settling abroad because I completed my studies in the United Kingdom, but I always wished and prayed to stay in my own country, even if it meant relocating my family.

How important is luck in Crypto?

When it comes to crypto, there is luck, skill, and research. Luck only works 1% of the time, as mine did, to which I added more of my knowledge and attained success. To summarize, luck does work, but skill and research are more important.

What advice do you have for the youth who wants to earn step into crypto trading?

If you want to invest into crypto currency, don’t trust any groups. Instead, do your own research and handle everything on your own. Start small, don’t put everything into it, and don’t expect it to make you rich overnight; it takes time, just like everything else.
