We have always heard of the phrase that everyone is not perfect. Everyone lack on certain things which are hard for them to correct. But etiquette are something which everyone should follow as they are one of the major points which is noticeable very easily.
Here are some of the etiquette which we all should know and follow:
1- Whenever someone say, ’I invite you,’ that means you pay and whenever someone say, ’Let’s go to a restaurant,’ that means everyone pays for themselves.
2- Never visit someone’s place without calling first. If someone came to see you without warning, you might be wearing a bathrobe and hair curlers, or sometimes the person is not available. So it’s better to call first before landing on someone’s porch.
3- Don’t put your phone on the table when you are surrounded by people because it gives an impression that this device is important in your life, how bored you are of what’s happening, and that at any moment you’re ready to stop a useless conversation and once again check your Instagram feed or answer an important call.
4- Never invite a girl on a date if you’re going to be texting all the evening.
5- Your shoes should always be clean.
6- If someone offends you, you shouldn’t return the favor or raise your voice to the person who insulted you. Don’t sink to their level. Just smile and leave.
7- Nine things should be kept secret: age, wealth, family quarrels, religion, medical problems, love affairs, gifts, honor, and disgrace.
8- In the cinema, theatre, or concert hall, you should move to your seat facing those sitting.
9- A man should never touch a woman without her permission. This means that it is unacceptable to: hold her hand, touch her during a conversation, and push her.
10- In a woman’s presence, men may only smoke with her permission.
11- Whenever you enter a room you should be the first person to greet everyone there.
12- Couples should show the same respect for each other. Сhecking someone’s pockets in search of love notes, letters, and other things is extremely rude.
I am sure many of us were unaware of some of these etiquette and we never even bothered thinking about working on them. But from now on, I am definitely going to follow these modern etiquette rules.
