The much awaited first episode of Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka has aired already and it seems that not everyone is as pleased as expected. The reason is pretty simple so far the drama is absolutely predictable. And this is where this audience is wrong! MKHKA that appears so simplistic will come up with twists and turns that will most definitely leave everyone yearning for more.
The drama serial starts with all happy faces where we discover that Hareem Farooq plays the role of a simple, happy go lucky girl Dania, who is in love with her best friend Zaryab. Featuring Ali Rehman Khan as the dashing best friend Zaryab, the love is very much reciprocated. From the start we are told that the two are together and Zaryab’s family would be coming later during the day for Dania’s ‘rishta’.
And here comes the twist folks! When Zaryab’s mother arrives, she does ask for the rishta, but for her other son, Armaan, Zaryab’s elder brother. In between, we are also told that Zaryab is the adopted younger son, whose parentage we are not informed about for now. And this is the reason why Zaryab, who feels indebted to his adoptive family, lets Dania become engaged to his brother, instead of raising any voice for his love life.
And so is set forth the basic pace of the storyline. These few powerful scenes are enough to let us know that Zaryab, albeit totally in love with Dania, will not have the courage nor the strength to step up and claim what should truly be his. Dania, even though begs him to do something about it, is seen as accepting her fate, particularly when her father too puts in front of her the list of all the ‘ehsanaat’, Arman’s family has bestowed on them.
Arman’s character is shown as a typical playboy, living a luxurious life in UK and who comes back to Pakistan, to immediately be smitten by the one girl he should leave alone; that is Dania! He loves his younger brother, but is apparently immune to the thought that Zaryab is in love with the girl he has developed a crush on.
Good news is that Hareem and Ali maintain their perfect chemistry in Main Khayal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka like always! For the next episode we are shown how wedding preps will begin. Question is, will Dania be persuaded to keep her family’s ‘sar ooncha’ or listen to her heart and do something to save her one true love? Find out next Saturday at 8 pm on Hum TV.
