Last year, the Hobbs and Shaw star, Dwayne Johnson had secured himself the second spot when the Forbes’ list of highest paid actors of 2018 came out. However, after signing major films and all those turning out to be high grossers, Dwayne managed to collected $89.4 million between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019 inching his way to the top spot this year.
Now, as Forbes highest paid actor of the year, Johnson had toppled over George Clooney, who isn’t anywhere to be seen on the list this year.
According to records Dwayne Johnson will be paid a whopping sum of $23.5 million for his upcoming Jumanji: The Next Level. The actor also ensures he gets 15% of the pool from his high-grossing franchise movies. For HBO’s Ballers, Johnson is paid around $700,000 per episode, all the while making in more than seven figures earning royalties from his endorsements, line of clothing, shoes and headphones with Under Armour.
Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr. alongside Akshay Kumar and Jackie Chan completed the top 5 of the year in the same order.
